    Gilver:

    by the way

I saw Enzo in the manga

why is he in it if the novel isn't canon?

    weird...but whatever

Enzo was originally mentioned in the DMC1 manual, he is a canonical character, and does exist in the series. As I said earlier, the novel USED to be canon, so it made use of him (plus, he was originally created by Kamiya, the one behind the original game and novel, and the creator of the old canon, so it was just natural Enzo would be in the novel) but now that the novel has been discarded, the manga is (partially) there to replace it (the manga is from the people behind DMC3), and it also decided to use him, since he is an established part of Dantes history. Enzo was also present in the desperately uncanon DMC1 Dreamwave comic series (although he was rather... different)

Again, the novel is not canon, please just accept it lol

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

Come on man, Capcom said it wasn't canon. That is 100% proof that it is not a part of DMC any more.

Again, I know it does suck allot, because the novel is one hell of a good peice of DMC, and I loved some of their explenations like Dante's healing ability, etc..., but like it or not, it's no longer part of the series.

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

Hey man.  Sorry I acted kinda harsh earlier in the topic.  Anyway, I have a couple ideas to make the story cannon.  Maybe it could take place between 3 and 1 or Dante could be put into an alternate reality where the events of the novel happened.  Let me know any way I can help, and btw, I make websites Wink

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

    hey its no problem

but I too was thinking of figuring out ways to make it canon

like maybe I'd take my favorite parts from the book and possibly add them to the manga's storyline

it probably wouldn't work , but then it might

I REALLY like the way he got Ebony and Ivory in the book, and my new version of Eva's death and Vergil's departure is pretty cool. As well as Sparda giving Rebellion and Yamato to the twins. (both those scenes are my own creation so to speak)

plus some other elements ( those particular elements would work anyways as long as it was BEFORE the manga, the gilver/Vergil stuff might not...unless Vergil pretended to be Gilver to get close to Dante/Tony, and then did what he did in the dmc3 manga)

its a big complex situation, lol

but your ideas could work too

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

YO!! ur script sounds cool but i heard that there is already a concept for a DMC3 movie and that sounds like it would make a great movie. Just imagine the game as a movie.

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

I have heard of that, but as you said its merely a concept

lets say I finished it and they needed a script, I'd give mine to them for free if it got the movie made

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

yeah that's great, but I heard this rumor a year ago so that means they either already started on the script or they decided the concept just didn't work out.

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

either way someone would want a script

mine is PRE-DMC3, so anyone making a film (that is, if they already have a script) might want to have a prequel

but if they don't ...mine could do

I've got some weird connections...lol...my choir director is a film director, and he's done TV, movies, music, the works. He might know someone who can get in touch with the DMC film makers

sweet, just one question: what do you do for a living seeing that u have the free time to make a full script or was it a lengthy project.

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

No job, I'm just a homeschooled high school senior

    lol

Most of my time is spent babysitting and doing housework, then comes schoolwork and after that its free time (which I have plenty of actually) where I hang with friends, play video games or write

writing is fun! I'm writing Dante and Vergils confrontation scene right now, its so much deeper when I add the DMC 3 elements (and throw in my own) maybe I'll post it when I am done

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

yoh Gilver... yeah let's see that script... and as you said -maybe jokingly but still-.. i would seriously be more than happy to play as vergil.  it qwould be fun.  I'll help in whatever way ican to help you with the script.  As you said, this should be perfect and what the fans would love... hehehe.. we could team up with james maybe... since he has all the sources for his movie.  ^^

As i think about the script you've showed so far and the games.. i can see it fitting more or less.  maybe email it to me or something.  All in all, this should be fun and entertaining  ^^

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

I told Dex about my idea of integrating it with the manga (making the necessary changes and dividing it into parts one and two) he said to go for it

I personally would love for you to play Vergil and to have James help make it. But as of right now I am just focusing on getting the script finished ( I've got w HUGE amount of work ahead of me now that I've got the manga part to write as well) then when its done we'll see who is doing what and when

once I get the first part finished ( I had an idea for a name, tell me what you think "Devil May Cry: Blood Vengeance"...or is that not close enough to being cool?) I'll send it to you, its close to being completed, I just have to change a few things and finish writing
