    Re: Two Sparda Swords?

lol wow, that is one of the biggest plot holes I have seen in DMC so far. Only slightly behind the wall full of "Alastors" Dante has in his office. Lazy japanese reusing the same sword models to save time, have they no shame?!

... see, this is why I should watch all the DMC cutscenes 3 times in slow mo before commiting them to memory Stick out tongue

The Force Edge itself could be considered very powerful or very weak, it depends on which weapon you wanna compare it too. But in all honesty it's in reality the strongest weapon in the entire DMC world when it's full potential is reached. Hence why Vergil and Arkham are so interested in it in DMC3.

It's a video game. Almost all video games lose all new weapons and power-ups in the sequels or prequels or whatever... with the exception of a few Metroid games there's ussually no story-based answer given or, for that matter, even expected.

No, you got your info a little messed up. The Sparda Sword transformed into the Force Edge when Sparda sealed the gate to hell using it and the two amulets. After that Sparda lived for 2000 more years.

It's pretty simple, at least what we've seen so far.

The Sparda Sword can be sealed or unsealed for battle. In order for a person to unseal the sword, they must have the two halves of the amulets. But, as we saw with Arkham, they also need to be a son of Sparda. But also, as we saw in DMC1 with Trish, once a Son of Sparda unseals the Sparda Sword, anyone else can weild it in it's true form.

I don't know if anyone put this but...in the ending of DMC 1 when Trish says " 5 Minutes" you see she has the Sparda sword and that Dante has the Force Edge...Uh...But the Force Edge is the Sparda sword....i guess the developers forgot that for a second there...

Dante has Alastor in that cutscene.

No it's not. LOOK CLOSER. It's Force Edge

Oh man! you're right! It IS the Force Edge! How did that happen???

Dex, watch this and try to pause it the moment Dante walks forward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5RxEVCaW44

very valid points but then that raises the question........if a son of sparda can wield it....what about there sons......or daughters......does it constantly follow the blood line....cause it might end up with a 1/12 demon handeling it

Ok, I consider myself nice when it comes to reading posts that don't use proper gramar or spelling. But there's no way I'm gonna figure out what you said unless you put in a few periods and some better spelling.
