    Two Sparda Swords?

In DMC1 the Force Edge will eventually turn into the Sparda sword as soon as it regains it's full power with the help of the amulets. But there is something that still bothers me. When you play as "The Legendary Dark Knight" (Sparda himself), you get to use DMC3 Vergil's Yamato sword. The problem is that when you DT with Sparda and swing the Yamato...it turns into the Sparda sword itself. My question is, are there two Sparda swords? Also as an extra note, why didn't the Force Edge in DMC3 turn into the Sparda sword once Arkham fused it with the complete amulet?

    Re: Two Sparda Swords?

first of all the costume vergil has is called "Super Corrupted Vergil" and that wasn't the sparda sword. You do know that when Vergil DT's in that costume he becomes Nelo/Nero(whatever) Angelo? And that was Nelo Angelo's own sword whose name i don't know.

And with Arkham using the force edge, he wasn't a sparda blood. To turn Force Edge to sparda sword you must fuse it with the two amulets and have the blood of sparda flowing in you.

    hope this helpsBig Smile....hopefully

Ummm...well...actually I'm talking about DMC1, I just mentioned DMC3 so everyone could get a refrence of which sword I'm talking about. And I know there is a costume called "Super Corrupted Vergil", but I'm talking about the one called "The Legendary Dark Knight" in DMC1.

i don't think that yamato thing has much signicance in terms of the story.  i think that was just a little bonus thing to distinguish playing as "The Legendary Dark Knight" from just playing dante in a different costume.

    xarugas was right about arkham

But Arkham didnt have the blood of sparda in him. So it was just the fusion of the complete amulet with the force edge right?

    Re: Two Sparda Swords?

The force edge only turns into the Sparda Sword if ya have all four factors...

    i) Dante's silver Amulet

ii) Vergil's gold Amulet (join those two togethre to get the Perfect Amulet)

    iii) the Force Edge itself

iv) Sparda's blood flowing throungh ya veins

Otherwise...it'll be less powerful. If ya weren't a blood relative of Sparda, the Force Edge won't transform into the Sparda Sword.

The first three (the Amulets and the Force Edge) are an absolute nessecity to make the Force Edge much more powerful. Otherwise, it's just a sword...

    Re: Two Sparda Swords?

    -Only read first post-

I can't say for sure, but I think Capcom simply wanted to make Sparda a total god, so they gave him the Yamoto, but simply for the reasons of giving Sparda absolute power, it turned into the Sparda itself wen he devil triggered.

As for why Arkaham couldn't turn Force Edge into Sparda, I'm guessing Sparda has some sort of spell or something on it to stop it from being weld by anyone outside his bloodline.

@Wildfire-Lol, this his no signifagance to anything, just saying, Vergil's amulet is on a black chain in DMC1

    Re: Two Sparda Swords?

@Roby-yeah, that's right, the colour of the Amulets have absolutely no significance whatsoever. I just said their colours from DMC 3 so people know what I'm talkin' about.

Besides, this is just my opinion, but I think that my explanation works the best for this thread. Just my thoughts, guys, don't go off at me...

Yeah, that's right; Dante gave the Sparda sword to Trish (at the time not knowing she was still alive), thinkin' that Sparda's soul (ie: the sword) would protect her from the Underworld.

Then Trish came back and gave Dante extra power to pwn Mundus and they lived happily ever after.

And, yes, Trish did have the Sparda sword when you play as her in DMC 2.
