this link also has the video that Vagrant posted and they explains Pandora and Lucifer. In the myth it said that the box was opened and all evil was released and only hope was left in so I am guessing that if they are basing the weapon to the myth then hope will be the strongest attack that Dante can use with that weapon. (This part is only a guess)

I found some screen shots on the French web site that shows Nero fighting the one eyed dark knight if anyone is interested there is no spoilers in this.

Dude you're wrong. in the myth it says that what was unleashed from pandora's box were things like disease and old age, etc. what was left inside was the worst of all, apathy for life (there was another word for it but i forgot).

It doesn't make sense that hope was left inside  because (1) the god's created pandora's box to punish humans, so they wouldn't give hope as a punishment.(2) If hope was left inside then humans would not feel or have hope, which of course is not true.

 I do remember Hope being left inside the box. It all depends on how you see hope, if it's just an emotion humans feel, or if is a power that would have been obtained to make humans lazy and prideful.

I didn't see them luckily, but I want to make sure that if you value your ignorance, stay clear of places like that and don't attempt to find even unimportant spoilers, since those are tainted with plot spoiler posts as well. I don't, so I didn't highlight it to see the spoiler.I suggest you do the same...unless you absolutely can't wait to see how it ends.

Personally, I like to see things unfold the way they were intended to be seen. I like to envelope myself in the drama of the story and lose myself in it...oh yeah...

Agreed there Gilver. I believe in playing the game and finding out the plot/ending the way it's meant to be. I think they should keep ending spoilers off all gaming sites. IGN included. People wait for months to play a game, they can wait for the ending when they beat it. Earn the damn ending instead of peeping at some site and having it be ruined ya know?

The last thing in the box was hope I remember because of all the stories I read and heard when I was a little kid and my parents wanted to teach me about my greek past and everything but if you still don't think so go to google and type it in and if you prove me wrong then I was wrong.  Any way it wont mater lets get this thing out of the way because we are going a little off topic because we are going into mythology I just wanted to make a guess at what the names were going to be for each form of Pandora's box.

Yea I am with you Cobalt and Gilver we have waited up till now to play the game why cant we wait 2 more weeks there is no point in seeing the spoilers now unless you are not going to play the game and just want to see what happens or if you are really eager to see but it is better to wait.

Yay demo! Hope there's no spoilers in it.  Yeah after that last one about Dante's relation to Nero I stopped looking.  I want to be at least somewhat surprised.  A game loses some value after knowing the whole story.

Cool, thanks for sharing! The best thing about that vid is seeing more of pandora, I like that massive laser!  Holy crap.  The rest of the vid is kinda the same stuff.  I find it perplexing that they're trying to showcase the fact that Dante has styles, like that's new.  That is DMC3 stuff, they don't show anything new that he does in his styles - and he must have some new stuff, presumably.

For ps3 owners like me: Im not sure if the ps3 store updated ( Im pretty sure it did), but DMC4 isnt there. Its available in the japan store, so if you want the DMC4 demo you can create a Japanese account. it takes less than 10 minutes. Heres some instructions:

Edit: I LOVED The demo. I can already tell this game is going to be better than DMC3 (my favorite out of the 3). i like neros combos alot . The Devil Bringer is great, just like I expected, and I like the charging up of the red queen. The blue rose is pretty weak, in my opinion, though. hopefully we can upgrade it, though. I like using the guns.

lol i WOULD download it but i still have exams... -.- (don't know how to say it in english but it's thos BIG tests of everything i learned up till now at the university) so i'm obligating myself not to download it cuz it would distract me of my work..... :p

the demo is downloadable in the european PS3 store starting january 31 and work finishes january 30 :p but i can get the full game february 8 so i can w8 a few days longer ^^

Demo available since 10 on the french live. I finished the demo five or six times and... IT IS TOTALLY AWESOME !

We can see that the ambiance of DMC1 is back, the qualities of fight-system of DMC3, improved with the new character Nero, are here ... DMC4 gathers all the qualities of each episodes ! So, now I have expressed my joy, I'll go kick the ass of Berial one more time !
