I sense the reason it broke will be the center piece of story for DMC5. Vergil must have sucked his balls in hell. But there's hope for him to return via Nero. I suppose though that if Dante was aware of any danger he wouldn't let Nero keep the sword. But Dante doesn't seem to care for many things anyway.

I would love to find out why Yamato was broken. That has been irritating me since the first time i saw it broken. It killed me to see my favorite Devil Arm broken like that [:'(]

Another theory is that when Vergil got transformed into Nelo Angelo, his Yamato turned into the Zanbato sword that Nelo carries. I kind of like this theory. Because the Force Edge turns in to mighty Sparda sword. A much bigger sword I might add. And it makes sense that maybe in Nelo's last battle with Dante, his sword was broken. Then reverted back into Yamato.

Well if you played DMC3: SE when you are in the Corrupted Vergil costume your DT is Nelo Angelo. You can only wield the Zanbato if you DT with Yamato.

Yeah, where was I? I can't accept one explanation for granted about Yamato, cause none is certain. It could be Vergil's defeat by Mundus, but I was thinking the same as Cobalt about Nelo Angelo, or it could be something brand new that hasn't been presented yet. Anyway the broken Yamato is a big deal, and is going to keep us occupied in the future. Possible explanations could be thousand. Thre's a diference though between a possibillity (I could believe for example that Sparda has 3 wives, 2 demon lovers and 11 kids in hell - I wouldn't shout it from the rooftops and demand from people to believe it too) and the one that is true and Capcom knows only at least for now.

I am openminded, dude, and I have come to accept the idea that Yamato may have been broken in Nelo Angelo's fight with Dante. Someone else told me that Yamato was probably broken during the fight with Mundus, and I believe that is a good concept, too. No one really knows for sure cos Capcom doesn't really tell us.

Besides, these threads are meant for us, as gamers, to post our thoughts and ideas about DMC.
