OK so the years are a little messed up, but Nero is definately Vergil incarnate. The whole avatar thing and Yamato plus the blood of Sparda and decendant of Sparda crap, Nero is some odd version of Vergil. Then you've got to put to consideration that Vergil is too powerful to just die, he's the (strongest) son of Sparda. 

Where is the evidence? Capcom is not going to say Nero is Vergil. Its just not true. Dante is the strongest son of Sparda ok. He won the battle, and Vergil was using the Force Edge. There is no denying it.

I agree. Nero is indeed NOT Vergil, Vergil's soul may have entered his arm some time after Dante 'killed' him, but not immediately. Vergil is Vergil, and Nero's not gonna replace him for any of us. Nero makes his own character, he's cool. He is NOT a replacement, Capcom!!! You can't fool us!!!! ...Oh, but who am I kidding....

Look, Vergil's my main man and as much as I hate it, I must admit that Nero is the reincarnation of Vergil. Everything points to it; and if Capcom decides that Nero is not Vergil and acknowledges it in a game (if another DMC comes out) then I apologize but I find that highly doubtful.

...UUUURRRGGHHH!! Dammit, Nero's not the reincarnation of Vergil!!! He doesn't look or act like Vergil! He may be channeling Vergil's soul with the Yamato or whatever, but nothing else!

What I want to hear about is where the hell Nero got his injury from, the injury that created the devil arm that channels Vergil's soul. It could not have been from any demon, it would have to have been Nelo Angelo himself.... or something.... and that infected it with Nelo's blood or whatever. Was he infected by a contaminated sword? Or by a vicious demon claw? Or a scythe? I don't think Vergil would channel his soul into just any demonic infection, it would have to be the blood of Sparda.

And that opens up another issue. Suppose Nero was injured by a particular weapon that had once in it's lifetime stabbed either Dante, Vergil, or Sparda. The possibilities are thus endless.

If you actually listened to what Nero was saying when he claimed Yamato, after the battle with Agnus, you have heard how/when the Slayer's Wort (Nero's devil arm) popped up. Secondly Nero's devil arm is not an injury, nothing can cause something like that. Plus if you have not noticed the Slayers Wort looks exactly like a contorted version Vergil's forearm with the glove and sleeve of his trench-coat. I'd also like to bring up all of Vergil's and Nero's similarities in appearance. One: Vergil wears a blue coat with a red inlayer; Nero wears a similar coat. Two: the hear, Vergil had spiked/raised hear on top and loosely raised hear in the back, Nero has similar hear  in the back. Three: (this next comparison I hardly call personal appearance on Nero's behalf) Nero's Devil Trigger is a blue astral version of Vergil's Devil Trigger from DMC 3. 

All these about hair and coats don't mean anything. There's no way Nero is a relative of Dante, Vergil or Sparda. What is certain is the fact that he has a devil arm which reacted to yamato. Now about Sparda's Blood that Sanctus said, to me it sounds more like a compliment, as they all worshiped Sparda and not a fact. Of course there'a something strange about Nero. But it's more likely that Yamato chose him for his potential than because he is related by blood to Sparda.

concerning Nero, he keeps yamato inside his devil arm. It's not explained if Vergil is IN the sword. What is certain is that Nero came in trance, while he was stabbed by the demon knights' swords, his eyes turned red, he heard a voice in his head (propably Vergil) and yamato which was broken in two pieces and kept in a tank (ANYONE KNOWS HOW IT BROKE? OR HOW DID THE ORDER GET IT? I THINK NOT) came flying and in one piece to his arm.
