    Re: FFVII Advent Children

Well,I have the DVD of Advent Children, and it had that one "Special Commentary" thing...or whatever it's called. The director said that they made them be able to jump that high, and do impossible stuff to make it cross the "reality line". He wanted to do something different to this movie. That was probably the point of having it be CG. BTW:I don't like many movies with real actors.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

Kadaj calls cloud brother cuz they share jenova cells. I agree omnislash was the sweetest move ive seen yet. It could have been omnislash in the air im not sure. Great game. Great movie.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

The DVD comentary (Jap only) explains it's not Omnislash, or at least not the same one we've always seen. The new one is called "Omnislash version 5.0". The 5.0 is the fact it is the 5th version of the attack they planned on doing before they settled on that one for the movie.

That's hard to say. But in FFVII maybe "ghosts" can interact with people when possible. Maybe it's best that we don't over think things, lol.

    Demonic SPARDA:

So why did the make cloud so strong in advent children he can nearly literally fly! and how come he changed his sword i thiught the ultimate weapon was awesome enough

I think it was always possible, just never realised in FFVII because of how old it is. Think of it like how DMC3 can do all these awesome moves that DMC1 couldn't. The main reason that Cloud changed his sword, is because he no longer wants to live as Zack. He remembers how he is and doesn't think he should steal Zack's life and should life his own. Thus why he uses Zack's sword as a grave marker. Although, his new sword is still allot like the Buster Sword, mostly 'cause that's what Cloud is use to using.

As for the Ultima Weapon, it's possible that in the story of things Cloud never gets it or even upgrades the Buster Sword.

I don't know, but I like Sephiroth, and also Vincent, because they are both dark characters that has evil in them. Especially Sephiroth.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

Who thinks that they should make another CG movie based off of Final Fantasy VII again? Where Sephiroth comes back, yet again...and it should be called..."Final Fantasy VII:Ancient Children"! ROFL!

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

nah, i think they've milked this series about as much as they can.  anything more would be really repetitive.

i thought there should have been a little more materia usage too.

Red XIII's puppies dont come along for about 500 years after the events of FFVII. And Advent Children takes place only two years after FFVII. As far as Vincents limit breaks go, i just dont think they could squeeze everything in the movie. If they used Vincent's Limits people would ask about Cid's,Barret,Red XIII, etc. They just couldnt get everything into the movie.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

Vincent's limit breaks may have also have seen too flashy. During Tifa's fight only those really watching can tell the difference between a limit break and just plain old ass-kickig. Cid's High Jump is barely noticable from a normal jump, Barret's Big Shot is almost forgettable both times he uses it, etc... Vincent's limit's all stick out like a sore thumb, and would've drawn toomuch attention to him, Cloud is the main char afterall.

Besides, we get to see some of Vince's limit breaks in DoC. Or at least the coolest ones, Galian Beast and Chaos.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

Yeah i remember Tifa's somersault limit but i didnt notice Cid's High Jump at all. Its too bad they didnt make Tifa and Cid's limits stand out a little more its still cool they included it. I also saw they included Cloud's Blade Beam limit, he used it against the trio when they shot a wave of water at him in the Forgotten City. Barrets was funny, he seemed to try to use his big blow several times but it kinda fizzed and he got attacked before he could really utilize it.

    Re: FFVII Advent Children

    Limit breaks used:
    Cloud:
Blade Beam: Against Loz and Kadaj in the Forgotten Forest
Braver: Against Bahamut Sin, when he knocks Bahamut to the ground.
Climhazard: Against Bahamut Sin, used to kill it.
Finishing Touch: Final move used against Kadaj, when he knocks him away.
Blade Beam: Used against Sephiroth, misses completely and causes cracks to appear in a large pipe they are standing on.
    Omnislash Ver. 5.0: Obvious.

    Tifa:
Beat Rush: Begining of fight with Loz
    Water Kick: Loz
    Somersault: Loz
    MeteoDreive: Loz
Meteor Strike: Last attack against Loz

    Barret:
Big Shot: Attack which hits Bahamut first.
Big Shot: Charges it up later, but it fails to fire a second time.

    Cid:
High Jump: When Bahamut Sin is about to blast away Yuffie, Cid uses it to jump and stab Bahamut in the head, causing it too miss Yuffie

Those are the ones known to have happened, here are ones that some people thought happened, some think they didn't:
    Red XIII:
Sleg Fang: When he jumps up and bites Bahamut

    Yuffie:
Gressed Lightning: I'm not sure when people say it is, but allot are convinced it's there.

    Aerith:
Great Gospel: People think it's used during the fight with Bahamut, when she helps Cloud through the blast fired by Bahamut (Great Gospel causes invulerability in the game, so it makes sense)
