There will be some explanation or a cutscene in the future, I'm sure.  If they did not want to use Vergil at all, they wouldn't include Yamato. The thing is, Nero keeping the Yamato or say inherit it from Dante, is a kind of gravestone for Vergil's return in full form. That's why I've said that a possession of Nero by Vergil could be likelyin the future. Especially the key point for me is the phrase '' Power....." which Nero heard when Yamato reacted to his Devil arm. There's something there..

Guys... Vergil is dead. But his soul may be in Yamato. Thats what I think. The reason it was broken was because he died in DMC then it came back together. That whole thing about power was because he(Vergil) wanted power and thats what he senses in Nero. The way I see it, Vergil will come back only if he takes over Nero's body. 

Yeah, Vergil's dead, but his legacy still remains.... no one said he couln't ever come back to life...

On that thought, I think the only one thats gonna be able to bring Vergil back to life is Dante.... With the two amulets, like he had done with Trish....

And the only one who's gonna bring Vergil back to gaming is Capcom, and I still see reason to ram a boot into someone's butt cheek....

guys! guys! guys! vergil is not gone nero has his devil arm and possess his demon power. vergils soul is partly in nero just go read that little front piece in the game booklet. it says that there was a battle between demons in the city and nero and kyrie was there. even thought it does not expressly say that vergil were also there i believe he was and got badly injured. and the only he could survive was to transfere his soul into neros arm. in that sence where that evil studdering dude captured nero and crucified him with the swords he first devil triggered with the yamato responding to vergils arm meaning vergils soul is stil in neros arm. and when nero POSSESSION TRIGGERED vergils demon aura was around him and he had talked it wasnt nero who spoke it was vergil himself. as you all know vergil and dantes mother was killed when they were still small boys and they had no idea they had demon power at that tym. when their mother got killed vergil become so angry that he started to feel the demonic blood in him starting to awaken and his arms first changed. just like dantes arm first changed in the opening scene when nero was pounding on the ground. when nero PTd vergil spoke and said that FROM THAT DAY I SAW MY ARM CHANGED AND FROM THAT I REALISE I NEED MORE POWER....ILL DO ANYTHING TO SAVE HER! vergil was talking about his mother bcoz he felt to powerless at the tym when they killed his mother. and thats the similarity vergil saw in nero during the tym he was injured in the battle in the forest near the city, his love for kyrie and his desire to protect her at any cost. and before nero first PTd and the yamato came to him he had a flashback, and the screen when blank, of that time in the forest which is the reason vergils arm responded and he PTd.

So basically  Vergil is in Nero's arm... *Laughs* That would suck. but yeah, i agree with you about when nero said "power...(etc)"

But yeah they HAVE to bring vergil back! He was a decent character!! he had the moves, the attitude and the style XD
