Second Life
Final Chapter: Jackpot!
Jill woke up on a couch in a hotel room, her body still covered with blood. As she sat up she noticed Dante sitting on the table staring at her wounds while Rahan was running up and down in the room. After a while Dante asked "And what are we gonna do next? Jill won't be safe if her dad's coming back. She's no match for him in her current condition." The door fell in the lock and Vergil entered the room with a bag full of bandages and other things. Not saying a word he went over to the couch, took some bandages and wrapped them around Jill's head to keep the parts together. "Jill, what's your father's weak point? We must know how to kill him or the world will be doomed." Rahan was completely restless. He wouldn't calm down before this task wasn't finished but he couldn't figure out how to do it. For a few minutes no one was saying a word, all looks fixed to Jill. Then she whispered "It's useless. He's got no weak point. He would regenerate too fast. There are only two methods on my mind that might work. Either we blow him up or we throw him into liquid steel. The only prob is that we neither got explosives nor is there a steelwork around this area. Someone got a better idea, then tell me." Silence overcame them all and they were almost about to give up until Dante finally had an idea.
As the four entered The Hole everything went silent. Jill slowly walked over to the counter, grabbed for Ray's shirt and pulled him close. "Listen carefully", she frowned "I need explosives and I don't mean a small grenade, you got that?" Ray's eyes went big as he heard her insensible voice echoing through the bar and he was sure that it was the same as Jack's. Too surprised to reply he just pointed at a male sitting in a dark corner. Jill remembered him being a dealer but his prices have been way too expensive. Sighing she went to his table and sat down on it, Rahan, Vergil and Dante following her. "Ray said you sell not only weapons but explosives, too. I hope for your safety you got a bomb that will burst a tank to shreds." A wide smirk showed up on his face and Jill could see his demolished teeth. "Sure, but it'll coust you a little something." Before he even noticed four blades were pressed against his throat. His smirk immediately faded as he searched for a bomb within his bag. "Here ya go", he said and the scared look in his eyes disappeared as Jill took it and left the table. Before she went out she gave a letter to Ray and told him to give it to her dad if he dared to show up again.
Days passed until Jill finally received a call from her dad. He seemed to have fallen for the trap she prepared and that really improved her mood. Whistling she dressed, put the bomb into her bag and walked off to the crematory where she would end this tragedy. Dante, Vergil and Rahan showed up short after her arrival. "Guys, put these on. And don't worry, nothing's gonna happen to you, I swear." She gave them some handcuffs which she worked on the recent days. They were prepared to fall to pieces if the weared pulls at them. "Never knew you make junk out of something useful. You sure they will stay like that for as long as we need them to? Cuz I don't think they will, without screws and stuff I mean." Jill just shook her head and turned away. She was sure about nothing she has planned. If one thing goes wrong, everything else will also. She could screw Operation: Extinction, like she used to call it.
As Riff showed up it was almost dawn. He smirked as he saw Jill standing behind her comrades, all of them handcuffed. "Looks like you changed your mind", he said and continued "You even made me a kingly gift. The sons of Sparda as my victims I will become even more powerful than I would ever have been by only using your blood." Jill had to calm down to not jump un him and choke him to death. If she wanted her plan to succeed she had to hold herself back but it was hard. Riff meanwhile carefully examined his offering and his smirk went wider. He couldn't help but kicking Dante in the back and that was the point where everything went wrong. Pissed like hell Dante jumped up and got rid of the handcuffs. Riff stumbled backwards, an astonished look in his eyes, and grabbed for his sword but he was too slow. Dante punched him in the stomach and as Riff was kneeling on the floor he kicked him between the legs. "That's what happens if you kick me just for fun, for no reason", Dante yelled and stomped him in the face. Vergil and Rahan joined him while Riff tried to get up again. All three surrounded him pressing their swords and daggers against his throat. "Clever plan. You fooled me the first moment but unfortunately one of your friends wasn't able to keep up his masquerade", Riff said laughing and Jill just frowned "My bad. Won't happen to me twice." A dagger slid from her sleeve into her hand as she ran towards him, ramming the blade deep into his head. Riff didn't seem to be impressed by that and grasped for her larynx to break it. Coughing and hardly able to breathe Jill fell to the floor and her father's sword pierced her chest and pinned her to the ground. As he tried to reach for her hair a spectral sword stabbed his hand and fixed him to the nearest wall. A cold smile on his face Vergil stapped out of the shadows and said "Give up. It's four against one. Your only other option is to lose." Suddenly his smile disappeared as he heard the sound of breaking bones and blood splashing at the walls. In order to free herself Jill suffered an injury that was bigger than any other before. Half her torso has been ripped open and one big piece of flesh was only fixed to her body by a torn muscle. Trembling and staggering Jill stepped forth, took her father's sword and threw it into the kiln on her right side. Then she slowly moved towards Dante and told him to leave and lock the door behind him as fast as he could. She was ready to finish Riff off but she would humiliate him first and she already knew how. Jill performed a high roundhouse kick which was so powerful that Riff crashed to the floor, losing his hand which was still fixed to the wall. Suddenly she grasped for his head and dragged him to the kiln. She took out the glowing blade and pressed it against his face. Blisters formed on his skin and blood spilled out of them as Jill removed the hot sword. Then she tossed him against the kiln, sliced open his torso vertically and choked him with his intestines. "Losing against your own injured daughter must be depressing for you, isn't it?" The insensible smile on her face didn't stay for long as Riff transformed into a pool of blood and materialized right behind her. She wanted to turn but ha grasped for her spinal column, which wasn't covered by flesh anymore, and ripped out one of the vertebras. Jill immediately fell to the floor and she couldn't stand up again. Since she had no other choice she activated the bomb within her bag. She couldn't fle anymore and she wouldn't have tried to. So close to victory every mistake would cause more problems. Jill had to make sure Riff couldn't escape, one way or the other. As he grabbed for her hair and pulled her up she grinned evilly and created a protecting wall of blood around her boda. Then sh kicked the bomb towards his feet and shouted "Jackpot!" Just a second after Riffs body was ripped to nothing more but shreds. The devastating power of the bomb was more than enough to kill him.
As they heard the sound of the explosion Dante, Vergil and Rahan smiled and took a look back to see if Jill made it out but she didn't show up. Worried they hurried back into the crematory but they were too late. The upper part of her body was lying in the hall but her left arm was torn off and most of her facial skin was burnt or ripped away. Dante found one of her legs around 30 feet away but most of the flesh was burnt to ash already, the other parts have disappeared. As Rahan was kneeling next to her she opened her eyes ans whispered coughing "I managed to send him to hell. Thanks for your help, guys. It couldn't have went better." Vergil ironically answered "Indeed. Nothing is better than dying. What happens to you isn't important, right?" Jill nodded her head. She knew what would happen to her and she didn't fear death. "I was being ironic. Look at you. You are nothing more than a head, an arm and a ripped open torso. I wonder how you are still able to talk. I can already see the inside of your lungs. You lay here dying and still talk like you weren't. Do you even care about how we feel seing you like this?" It was the first time since he showed up that Vergil showed some sort of emotion and Dante was more than perplexed. In the end both Dante and Rahan agreed with him. Everything would change for them, especially for Rahan. If Jill died he would have no one left to rely on. He would be lost in a foreign world. Holding her hand he said "Don't die on me. I won't be able to make it without your support." Whispering Jill answered "You have to. Besides, there's still Dante who will help you whenever you need help. My time is up and there's nothing that could change it. Farewell, to all of you. May your lives not be as fu..." Her empty eyes were staring at Rahan's face as she died. Dante turned to hide his tears and Vergil bowed his head. No one of them was able to speak. After a short moment Rahan closed her eyes and kissed her carefully. His whole body was tremling and Dante had to pull him out of the room to calm down. Silently he said "This isn't the end. She died to protect you and the world from this crazy psycho. If you continue what she begun then her death wasn't in vain." Rahan nodded his head, knowing that he had to take over her legacy if he wanted to keep a part of her alive, and bursted into tears at last.

I'd prefer to be hated for what I am instead of being loved for what I'm not!
