Re: Star Wars: Rise of the Sith

"Rai, There's something that I'd like to discuss with you." Says Kyo, Rais master, as he collects their plates and moves to the sink and starts to clean them.

"Yes, Master?" Asks Rai still sitting at the small table in their kitchen as he looks up at the older Jedi with respect, and a small amount of confusion evident in his eyes.

"Not too long ago as you may have felt, there was a disturbance coming from the senate area. Most notable was a huge explosion of the force." Says Kyo stopping to make sure that Rai was keeping up and paying attention.

"and you think this person was a Dark Jedi?" Asks Rai having felt the spike earlier.

"No, the focal point of the  'gathering' was not a Dark Jedi, but I can't tell their exact affiliation from this distance. I'd like for you to go to the location of the spike and investigate." Says Kyo smiling to reassure his young apprentice.

"wouldn't it be safer if we went together?" Asks Rai.

"It would be, but we have neither the time or power to go together. as you investgate I'll try to get us a ship to leave the planet. Everyone in the sector that has some level of force sensitivity has to have felt it on the light and dark sides. If the person that caused the spike seems to be trustworthy and a possible ally you should join them and leave the planet with them. If not return here and to me, I fear that we don't have much time though." Says Kyo heading for the door.

"Master, I think that you should hold on to this." Says Rai holding his red lightsaber out to the old man. "I doubt that anyone would trust me if I had this in my possesion." He adds.

"A smart choice." says Kyo nodding as he takes the lightsaber before hiding it in his robes. "I also think that you should stick strictly to using your light side abilities if you can help it from here on out." Says Kyo recieving a  nod from Rai. "May you stay safe until next we meet, Rai." Says Kyo before he leaves.

"You as well, Master." Says Rai leaving before he starts off towards his destination in search of answers.

Reki watched as Livia sulked over her master’s body, her hand detached. Poor girl, her best friend just joined the force and left her all alone. Reki felt more pity for the padawan than the master who passed. He was in a better place now, but Livia had to continue living on without her master. The twi'lek almost formed tears of her own just watching the padawan sulk. He must have been like a father to her. It almost reminded Reki of…

    *WHAM*

Reki was knocked off to the side by Darg’s firm shoulder. He seemed peeved about something. “These aren’t real Sith. Who tried to deflect a Thermal detonator with a light saber?” Darg always had a tendency to get upset when he was being toyed with. Reki decided to follow closely behind him as he approached the group of people surrounding the fallen master.

“So, who’s this guy?” Darg asked, looking down at master Bandros. “Oh, Bandros Galdeam, he was old anyway…” The freelancer seemed unaware that he was actually standing on the masters hand. “Anyway, did I hear something about going to a military base because of this whole screwed up deal?”

Darg was draged back a bit by a firm grip on his arm. "Im sorry sir, but I must ask you notdesicrate the dead with your foot..." Khaz stopped after pulling the Freelancer out of the way of Livia's striking range, the Young padawan only glared Venomesly at him, before returning her gaze to the floor.

"Allow me to first inform you of your disrespectfull actions, y-" a muffle came from the Satchel the Twe'lik carried. "Nobody cares, I cant breath in here!". "Exscuse the interuption..." he sighed before unziping the Bag, and letting Zuado hover at his side. "Pleeeeeh!" Zuado looked to the Padawan and her master "who's the old ba-" Khaz tugged Zuado's nose down, blocking his speach. "That, is a master Jedi, and That, was his Aprentis, and givin the current situation of her loss, I sugest you keep such words to yourself!'. he gave a final tug before letting go of his nose.

Re: Star Wars: Rise of the Sith

Just as the Twe'lik released Darg, The freelancer seized Khaz's throat. "Bandros Galdeam, I know the man, and I envy Livia for watching her father figure die at such an age." There was an obvious growl of anger that seemed to carry threw his speach. "MY father was taken from me by a man who called himself a Jedi, only to later give into the dark side and take my fathers life. MY father and I where much younger than Livia and Bandros. I was seven, and my father was in his early thirties, so please forgive me for not morning a man who lived twice as long as my father did, and a woman who is also old enough to know that in life, PEOPLE DIE!"

Darg tossed Khaz aside, the twe'lik stumbled into Reki's arms, who just looked into the individual's eyes, and quickly made note of his race, and... phisicle atraction.

"Eh... Hi..." Reki blushed, then quickly looked in Darg's direction. "Darg get's a little bent out of shape sometimes. He defenetly cares, he's just a little upset. ya know how most men are, they can't quite controll there emotions... "

           "Are you coming?"

           "Oh of course, later!"

After departing with a friendly wave, Reki followed Darg out of the chamber.

"I feel a few people with a fairly high Mindochlorian count, I'm guessing they're Jedi. I don't ssense the taint of the dark side in any of them so i guess they'll be useful." Says Rai walking towards Livia and the others making no moves to hide his presense or the lightsaber at his side.

Re: Star Wars: Rise of the Sith

"....I need all Jedi to be present for Livia's Knighthood ceremony." and just like that, Master Cyle departed once more.

All of a sudden, the Senate Chamber flooded with Republic Guard reinforcements, most likely called by a surviving, and panicking, politician. The eerie silence was soon replaced by a cacophony of metallic boots against the ground.

Garen pushed off the pillar he leaned against while listening to the Councilor's orders. It really wasn't eavesdropping since the Miraluka Jedi had probably already sensed Master Balfour's presence.

"Now then, about that Trandoshan..." he pondered, not bothering about the message. He left that up to Master Jarec.

Garen quickly retraced his steps and sure enough, he found the incapacitated Sith exactly where he left him. He took a few moments to check his fallen foe, examining for any hidden weapons or poisons or any other countermeasures against capture. The debilitated Trandoshan still laid unconscious, lying in an awkard pose as a consequence of the fresh broken limbs suffered from Garen's attack. As an added measure for security, Garen knelt down and placed his hand near the Trandoshan's head, reaching into its mind with the Force. As soon as he located its consciousness, he carefully 'nudged' it back further using his control over the Force to keep his prisoner from waking prematurely.

"Strange. I feel barely any Force sensitivity in this one. Just like-" a sudden suspicion entered Garen's mind. "-all the others, save for the Zabrak. Why would they send nearly Force-devoid Sith to attack us?"

He realized that that last question was completely unnecessary. An attack force of disposable pawns only meant one thing: distraction. But for what? As he pondered this, the sound of metal boots drew nearer. The Echani turned and saw a small squad of heavily armed Republic troopers combing the hallway.  "Excellent timing."

"You there, I require assistance." Garen called out.

"Yes, Master Jedi?" the squad leader replied when as the approached.

"Detain this Dark Jedi. Place the proper restraints on him and sedate him. Then bring him to the Jedi Cruiser for interrogation."

"Roger." the squad leader turned to his comrades. "You heard the Jedi. Harlin, Vosh, Quinne, get to work on that Sith scum. Avery, Parkins, secure the rest of the hall. Redo, call the Interrogation Corps and-"

"That last part won't be necessary. We Jedi are fully capable of extracting information." at this mention from Garen, the Officer twitched slightly, almost as if a shiver ran down his spine. "Oh, and one more thing, I'll need one of your men to go to the Jedi Cruiser and gather a few of the Jedi there. We will not leave Master Bandros here to rot."

"Understood. Stratch that, Redo. You're gonna go to the Cruiser to bring some Jedi now. What're you waiting for? Get to it!" and with that, the Republic soldiers dispersed and set about their dedicated tasks.

With that settled, Master Balfour hurried his way back inside, sensing an unfamiliar presence in the Force near Livia and Zak.

    *************

    "Leave me alone..."

Though he already knew what to expect, Livia's grief-stricken dismissal still rang painfully in his ears. "Damnit! Why is it always like this?! Why am I always powerless to protect those I who are dear to me?! I'm so useless!" he screamed in his mind. He then realized that more and more people gathered around his mourning comrade.

"L-Livia. I..I'm sorry..." Zak quickly sputtered before he turned to face the spectators. "Please, leave her be. My friend here needs a moment alone." he pleaded. The young Padawan quickly strode forward, not wanting burden anyone anymore. But he instantly met resistance as he walked straight into someone. He could tell from the smell and the familiar instinct he felt that it was his Master.

Garen gazed at Livia and his apprentice. Both were sweltering under clouds of unbridled emotion. He concentrated for a moment, and felt a tiny, miniscule bit of the Dark Side from them. Master Balfour's eyes quickly furrowed with worry. Though he followed the belief that Light and Dark were simply paths to the Living Force, he did not want the mission compromised. He glanced around, looking for something to keep Zak distracted from his inner thoughts.

It was at that moment that he located the unfamiliar presence in the Force: a gray-robed, black-haired man who emitted a fair amount of the Force (Rai). In one way or another, that man had to be a Jedi of some sorts.

Somehow, Zak had already caught on, tracing his Master's inquisitive gaze until it settled on the gray-robed stranger.

"I got it, Master." Zak muttered as he approached the stranger (Rai). Once he got up close, he noted that the man was only slightly taller than him and he felt a strong 'air' about him that was similar to all the other Jedi. "I know you have a connection with the Force. But you're not associated with the Order. Please, tell me what your business is here, sir."

Rai slightly smiles at Zak before he starts to speak, "You're right I'm not associated with the Order. I am the apprentice of an  Jedi Master by the name of Kyo Mibu, why he left the Jedi order and when are still mysteries to me." Says Rai looking down at the ground hating to be reminded of the fact that he knows so little about his masters past. Shaking his head to get rid of his straying thoughts, "My master told me told me to come here in order to check things out while he goes to get a ship before this planet becomes a warzone." Says Rai simplely trying to keep his voice void of all emotion.

"Bent out of shape?" Zuado laughed at his comrad who rubbed his throat, and shifted himself to get his vest to fit properly. "he's got a grip like a Rankor...". Zuado stared at Khaz for a moment. "...you...encountered one before?" the Twe'lik shruged his shoulders. "No... aparently you are not aquainted with Mediphorical talk..."

After Zak's words Livia suddenly stood up from her master, and admeediatly began heading in a bee line, two reasons, to get her hand replaced the word that never did sit to well when it came to limbs, the other, to be alone, she heard talk of being knighted, but had no desire to be around any one.

she cradled her arm, pushing past the guards that flooded the area, and tried to get to the Medical area...

"So!" Zuado barked out in his usual facion, as he hovered by Khaz. "Are we going to leave or what?" "Oh, dont tell me your finished here already... besides, weve involved ourself in this..." the Freelancer flying beside his employee snorted. "You just want to follow that Other you" this made Khaz laugh. "No..." he finally answered and glared. "Even IF it was, it would not be any of your buisness!".

Re: Star Wars: Rise of the Sith

    *SWAT*

Darg rubbed the side of his face as he recovered from Reki’s smack.

“you…you idiot! What where you trying to prove by blowing your top and desecrating the body of a beloved Jedi?”

“How did I desecrate his body?”

    “YOU STEPPED ON HIS HAND!”

    “I did?”

Darg wasn’t in a mood to argue with Reki, especially under the rare circumstance that she had every right to be upset with his childish actions. She was pretty good at getting her way without being right, so to convince her otherwise now was futile.

“You’re right Reki, I reacted poorly. It’s the meds, I just stopped taking them yesterday.”

    “Well that explains it…”

The twe'lik started to pace around as Darg opened up a small hand-held managing device. It had the names and photos of everyone that was suppose to be in the meeting. One by one he started to check off the members that he visually remembered being killed, trying to decide if there was some kind of pattern between the deaths.

“Oh and Darg, I never did get that Twe'lik’s name. You don’t remember it by any chance do you?”

Sure enough, Khaz’s name lit up the screen with his photo.

    “…nope…”

Darg quickly mashed the delete key to erase him from the archive. Then a photo of a bag and Zuado’s portrait appeared on the screen. “Hey, wasn’t that the bag he was carrying?” The freelancer looked over his shoulder at Reki, who was looking at his palm computer. “Uh, nope, don’t think so!” with that, the data was erased.

    “Heeey!”

    “What? His face upset caster!”

The small trinket was then slipped into his pocket.

“Darg, you should probably think about apologizing to that girl. she looked really upset that you…”

    “His name is Khaz…”

“WEEEEEEEE! Thank you! I’m going to go see if I can find a Jedi, be back in a few!”

She ran off as Darg looked into the eyes of his pet.

“So, what’s going to happen first? will she be a rejected padawan, or lover?”

As the freelancer chuckled, Caster placed her claws over her face.

Dash walked to the Jedi Cruiser's infirmary. It was there where he encountered a sleeping Quick. It seemed that the certain Master Bandros was nowhere to be found, because Quick was being attended by a medical droid. Dash(accompanied by Balba) walked over to Quick's bed. Balba was the first to speak.

"Now Dash up pick Balba! Balba cannot see."

Of course this was because he was just over a foot.

"Quiet yourself your going to wake the guy." said Dash.

    "No! Balba want up now!"

"This is why people think you're a kid Balba. You are so stubborn and talk exactly like one."

    "Balba no care."

    "Well you should." said Dash

"I have to thank you for saving his life stranger.: said Sharp

"O... um... its no problem. No problem at all. I mean I couldn't just leave him there."

Dash sat in a chair next to Quick's bed and let Balba sit on his lap. They waited there for either Master Bandros to come, or Quick to wake up.

    The end is near.

Re: Star Wars: Rise of the Sith

"Well, um. I'm not quite sure what the protocol is for non-Order Jedi but-" Zak stopped as his Master walked near them.

"A Jedi must have a tolerant mind. There is no Light, no Dark, and no Gray. There is only the Force." Garen lectured. He then turned his attention to the stranger before him. "If it's alright with you and your Master, I want you to talk with Master Cyle. This current Sith threat could potentially be another disaster. We may need all the help we can get."

Four flickers in the Force drew Garen's attention back to the center. Approaching Master Bandros's body were four other Jedi with their hoods on as per tradition, carrying a ceremonial gurney with them. They gave a bow of respect to the fallen Jedi Master and then nodded a greeting to Garen. Though they were experienced Jedi, their faces still carried an air of sorrow. Master Bandros was a highly esteemed Jedi and a friend to many in the Order.

The Four set the stretcher down and then stood around Master Bandros. Taking great care with their Force powers, they gently lifted the late Jedi's remains onto the gurney. Then as one, they knelt down, picked up the stretcher, and silently marched out of the Senate Chamber. Garen, Zak, and the remaining Jedi in the grand room bowed their heads in respect.

Then, with a barely noticeable wave of his hand, Master Balfour called Zak to him. "Call the taxi on the ComLink and tell them to come to the Cruiser. We'll gather our belongings and then head out with the Order."

Zak nodded and retrieved his Comlink from his belt. With a flick of a switch, he dialed up the preset frequency. "Yeah, I'm already here. You said you just needed me to drop off your things right? Your Jedi friends already took them in and paid me quite a bit. It's been a pleasure doing business with you." was what he heard.

"Well that's convenient." Zak suddenly felt his Master moving away. The young Padawan sighted the Echani Knight exiting the Chamber. He moved to follow until Garen held up a hand to stop him. His Master then held up three fingers and swirled his hand in a slight circular wave. "Keep an eye on things for the next three minutes." was what Zak understood. He nodded in acknowledgement and then turrned to face the massive Chamber again. With nothing really better to do, he approached the stranger who identified himself as Master Mibu's apprentice. "So, what's your name?"

Meanwhile, Garen quickly made his way back to the Jedi Cruiser and saw several other Jedi and Republic Soldiers standing guard.

"Oh, Master Balfour. We have the captured Sith detained and sedated in the Brig as per your orders." one of the soldiers said.

"Good. I assume that someone's keeping watch over him?"

"Yes, Master Balfour. A lot of the senior Jedi are on guard. But I must say, your prisoner is quite a rarity. I could probably count all the Trandoshans in the Order on one hand." remarked one of the Jedi.

"Excellent. Now if you'll excuse me." Garen then entered the Cruiser. "Master Cyle should take a look at this prisoner."
