Ya Glut, but what if Capcom DID make the movie related to the games and the anime. They would get great rates. But

I have to say to do that, it would cost alot. But it would still be great.

And like What Chaotic said. They should make a movie for each game + what happends between DMC 4 and DMC 2.

i think the best beginning for the movies(cause they surely r not gonna make only one(resident evil)) is to show how dante became a devil hunter by showing parts of his childhood n eva's death(sparda is not necesary).then they can use the story of the novels(i havent read them but from what ive heard they r very good).that way,if the movie is good,more people will want to play the games(as the movie will be the prequel of all),there will be a good start for the next films n we(the fans) will see dante as a child.that way we r gonna see vergil(gilver) too.

the next film can be a random story(like the anime) that haves a connection to the games but it is not desperetaly hangin by them.it can be the connection between 4 n 2 somehow.for the other characters, like lady n trish, there is no need to explain their backstory just to make them appear "smoothly"(we already know their story n the viewers wont really care about them).

for a third one... lets see the first firtly n then we'll discuss for others.

i agree with chaoticgreece on this a prequal to all would be quiet nice. because then we get the whole background to dante and virgil as they grew up together. and possibly get to see them on a team together but one thing that i disagree with chaoticgreece is the fact that chaotic said that sparda wasn't inportant thats wrong in my opinion (no affince taken hopefully) ,but seriously there wouldn't be a DMC movie or game without sparda in there a little bit.

i was watchin some horror movies lately(silent hill,grudge,rec,km31) n replayed dmc1 n i came with an idea:why not makin dmc an action/horror movie.of course some would say that cuz it has demons it will be horror too,but movies like hellboy for demons,resident evil for zombies,bloodrayne for vamps have proved that wrong.in the horror movies i've seen i noticed that except of the horific look the monsters have,the more terifyin part is the time when they appear or before that.so the producers of the movie could use a design of the dmc demons(i prefered the guys in dmc3) with some features from silent hill(bloody,thin,makin sounds n haul their scythe) n some could make their appearance when u dont expect them(like the boy in grudge).

also as i see it warner bros will probably make the movie.n ill explain why.dc comics has taken care of makin a dmc n a resident evil comic series.warner is the one that turns the dc comics heroes in movies(batman,superman e.t.c).so maybe they will make dmc movie n even maybe a new resident evil

i like the idea of it being a horror movie but how would they make it? and still what would the plot be?

when i thought of the possibility of it becomin a horror film,i was basically thinkin of somekind of appealin plot.the film could start with a text at the beginin describin the story of sparda(like the one in dmc1 without him in the background) while showin the startin credits.then a moment of dante's past where he sees smt horrific(like findin eva dead in the flames who then turns into demon) as a nightmare in he's sleep.lately he may had many nightmares like this one but he continues he's jobs with trish n lady(no need for explanations of how they met, they r just his friends n partners).in a job he smells smt strange n starts investigatin a bit more.after kilin some demons,interogatin some human servants n stuf,he finds that a guy wants to summon a devil(from asmodeus to samael,there r plenty of demons to choose) for obvious reasons,n finally he stops him havin a fight with the demon.n then he leaves the mortal live showin how pure soul he has.but smt else was also released by the portal which we will see in the next film(i think vergil could by makin him the main villain in the next movies) .

Eh...that still sounds like the usual action movie to me.

For Sparda's story, it doesn't have to be text...it could be someone's voice, however, text is more appealing, especially if the narrator has an annoying voice. I do like the idea for the ending, but its more likely that the mortal will try to reopen the portal later, or he will be possessed by something leaving the portal.

 
And while it is a good idea, the portal things kind of been done in the animated series...

i suppose ur right.well i cannot think of dante runnin to escape from the demons,which is what happens in horror movies.so my idea is dead.but at least the appearance of the demons could be somewhat scary(no scarecrows).

well there r two choices:a summonin portal or a hellgate.or if they come up with a new idea(which i dont think) that will be better thatn their previous choices(which i think).

Well, the movie could always be filmed from the point of view of a normal person, or a Dante that has his demon side sealed or something like that. If it came to that he would probably have to run more often then he'd like. Or it could show parts of his childhood where he is running from demons...but then it would have to be entirely about a (really) young Dante...

Well odds are the movie is probably going to come out in theaters sometime in 2011 or 2012. The Movie may possible star Johnny Depp. Plus when they did mintion a DMC movie at E3 '07 They said that the movie would most likly be based on DMC2 so it won't realy explain anything.

Its hard to say...because they have a book both before and after...well, two "volumes" after...and the animated series seems to be after as well...

 I would want to see something more about Dante's past though....maybe even a bit more about Sparda.
