Good, I am glad you understand, I know you are new just don't continuously break the rules because if you do-whoosh, banned, and right now you are on that root.  I just saw it...well, i have kinda mix feelings about it...maybe if i had a translation of what the hell they were saying maybe i give a more clear review. But...brief synopsis:

I hate that lil girl she's a pain in the ass.

Its funny how Dante tries to prevent her from seeing what he does for a living aka killing demons in a VERY brutal way.

Dante is too quiet i believe...he's either bytching about a strawberry sundae or laying down somewhere...he's very laid back. I wonder with all this pizza and ice cream sundae's won't he get fat by then LOL!

Dante was the only famaliar face..everyone else is an original character i believe. Can't wait until Lady and Trish show up.

The car scene was the best scene out of the whole thing..Dante tries a convertible...COOL! We officially now know he's not always flat out broke.

Dante's voice is nice...but i don't know...it sounds so serious. Maybe i'm just used to Reuben and Drew...cause there Dante voices sound so happier and sarcastic yet cool. Oh well, maybe it's in Japan. Toshiyuki Morikawa is a great seiryuu so i support him either way.

Can't wait if by maybe the last episode, maybe Vergil might make an appearance..

So anyway, anime looks very Hellsing-ish and the action scenes are few and far between, there's alot of blood. But i have faith in it and i can't wait until it comes stateside one day...hopfully Reuben will be doing the voice by then...i know he's interested for a fact.

I'm still shocked to see it's acctually the episode... it's 13 days earlier than the release date... WTF!?

Anywho, my impressions:
Art Style: Awesome, just as dark as a DMC anime should be.
"Strawberry Sundae": I'm surprised that they inculded this from the Novel, it's a pretty neat reference, I like it, :p
Dante's voice: As I said, the voice actor is crazy talented, he made for one bad ass Sephiroth, but he's just not right for Dante as far as I'm concerned.
"Bingo": Oh come on, >.>, how do you mess-up THAT in a DMC anime?! It's j-a-c-k-p-o-t. Don't forget it!
"Soundtrack": A++. We should be so lucky as to get a DMC game with a soundtrack this good.

So far so good, nothing spectacular yet, but it is just the first episode.

Yeah i totally agree. His voice doesn't sound happy and sarcastic...I still love Toshiyuki Morikawa though...best Seiryuu out there..

Yeah, that really messed up on that. DMC is known for Jackpot..not...Bingo...UGH! They both sound corny in there own way anyway.

I still like the anime though...wish there was a subbed version (Though i heard they'll will be soon by some DMC fans) but other then that i'm glad we at least have something to tide us over until some new DMC 4 info comes along....

Only gripe about the anime is...the fights are few and far between...and that lil girl should be shot

 I dunno about when the sub will come up, according to what I've been read this is more or less the story for the first episode:

Dante is hired to protect and escort Patty to her father's mansion to the reading of his will. Patty never knew her father and lived in an orphanage ever since her mother disapeared, and for whatever reason her father decided in his Will that he would leave the fortune all to her and not his two sons, the only catch being see has to make it to his mansion with-in 24 hours of his death.

...Already annoying and out of character as Dante has made it clear he doesn't take these kinds of jobs.

Her brother's decide to send demon's after her in order to make sure Patty doesn't get the cash, hinse why she's targeted by everything in the episode. Dante and Patty eventually end up in a hotel, Dante goes to sleep... seeing how he spends most the episode sleeping anyway... and Patty finds a poster that looks exactly like her Mother. Patty finds her mother singing on a stage and runs to her, only to find out it's a demon. Of course, Dante already knew it was a trap...  'cause he's bad ass like that... and shows up and kills everyone.

Meanwhile at the mansion her brother's are celebrating 'cause it's almost time and Patty has still yet to show. The lady sitting across from them reveals that she's the daughter listed in the will, and only fooled them into thinking it was Patty so they wouldn't try to kill her before she can claim her money (I THINK it's also said she's the one who hired Dante... I'm not sure). One of the brother's transforms into a giant demon and kills the other brother, then, before he can kill his sister Dante shows up and makes short work of him. The lady then apologises for the scam and offers to addopt Patty, Dante walks away and Patty follows him, the lady tries to stop them, but Dante says something along the lines of "She's better off with me, some people are worse than Devils".

 

I didn't like the end much... I mean... they turned Devil May Cry HQ into a child's room complete with toys and frilly curtains and all kinds of other weird junk that shouldn't be in Dante's office. I also don't understand where it all came from, I think it's implied that Dante bought it with the money the lady gave him for him completing his job I guess.

As for Patty as a character... meh, I don't care one way or the other about her yet. For the time being it seems she's needed, as Dante isn't talking enough to help make it interesting, and he certainly doesn't seem energtic enough to make him worth watching while he's not fighting... we need her as filler at this point.

LOL! Lobuk you're damn right! Remember how Dante acted in the manga when he was asked by Enzo to take the Alice job? Why the hell would he accept this one? XD, maybe because he's too soft hearted he agreed to protect "the helpless little girl" I dunno.  

The plot is interesting though. Loads of blood is more than enough to keep me hooked!(Yeah I know I'm sadistic )

The end sucks ass. Devil may cry HQ with fluffy curtains? WTF? 

"She's better off with me, some people are worse than Devils" hmm, that's something Dante would definitely say,and even though I don't like the fact, buying toys for patty is also possible for him to do, him being such a sweetie . I hope they keep him in character in all the episodes(although they already have ruined him by making him too quiet, hope that changes later)

And I agree,Dante needs to speak more. It's a shame if he looks so hot and doesn't talk enough to bring the crazy fangirl out of me and kill me with his sexiness as much he's needed to keep him in character and develop his personality, not to mention also to make the anime more interesting.

I hope the second episode has more DMC characters there, original characters are all well and good, but I don't like the fact that we don't know anyone there except Dante. Can't wait to see Lady and Trish appear 

BTW is that convertible Dante's own?
