Miakee Sorrow:Well how is it that Dante has Rebellion in DMC2 if he doesnt have it in DMC1 but then he has it in DMC3
Dante has his old Rebellion sword in DMC 2, which I may add was a sword made by Sparda, because at the end of DMC 1, Trish uses the Sparda. And he uses the Rebellion in DMC 3 because that takes place before DMC 1 and 2, and Dante didn't get the Force Edge till after he beat Vergil. Dante then used the Force Edge because it was actually his fathers sword, the famous one, of course he didn't realise its true form or power till he merged the amulets. Vergil, I think, knew all about what happens when a member of the Sparda family merges the amulets! I.E the Force Edge changes to its true form of the Sparda. Which is why Vergil was so intent on getting into the Demon World to claim the power.
Further, I think the whole only being able to DT with your battle against Mundus, is very in character for Dante. The quest for power destroyed Vergil, so Dante only uses it when he absolutely must. Dante, though can change into his fathers form (DMC 2), but, when he possesses the Sparda he has ALL the power of his dad. Because the sword is charged with it because Sparda sealed his power away when he beat Mundus. Only a member of the Sparda family can use it though, as Trish can't in DMC 2, she just glows yellow.
The Sparda is a brilliant sword, not only does it dish out damage galore, it also has such a wide arc of damage that Dante can inflict. In other words when he swings that bad boy, everyting nearby gets hit.
I sincerely hope the Sparda is in DMC 4. I really wouldn't mind using that sword again in a new game.
