    Re: Best Xbox Games

    For Single player

    1. Oblivion (hands down, the best first person RPG to date)
    2. Ninja Gaiden II
    3. The Darkness
    4. Condemned 2: Bloodshot
    5. Dark Sector

    Multiplayer

    1. Unreal Tournament III (unmatched first person insanity and excellence)
    2. Final Fantasy XI
    3. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (I wouldn't have sold it if i'd known they were bringing back Calypso '-_-)

For those of you going "O.O No GOW, COD4, or HALO 3?!?!"

GOW - The cover system makes the game stupidly cheap. You can see half to all of the map by hiding behind the wall. Plus, once someone got the power weapons (torque bow, hammer, boomshot), you were boned, because the Lancer is pretty useless.

Call of Duty 4 - Excellent sights and weapons, loved playing it, but if the perks force you to play cheap, i'm not gonna play.

Halo 3 - Could've been good. If they hadn't toned down the Battle rifle and made it a game of grenade chucking, it could've been awful good. (And yea', i know there were alternatives, but you're slower than hell with the stationary turret.)

I have to say that Ninja Gaiden is really good.

    Same for dead or alive.

Choose your death: The sword, the twins or the bouble barrels.

    Re: Best Xbox Games

Well, let me first say that I don't have Live o_O

So, I'm stuck offline. But there are still some awesome games. In no particular order:

Ninja Gaiden II - The weapons were insane and I loved the fast-paced combat. Definitely one of the best action games out there, as well as the rest of the Gaiden games, because they force the player to master every technique at their disposal if they hope to defeat the tougher enemies, instead of just button-mashing their way through the game.

Frontlines: Fuel of War - Rented it from Blockbuster just yesterday and I love this game. The weapons are great, the vehicles (both land and air) are just plain crazy, and the drones add a whole new dimension to the combat. And that's just offline. IMO, better than Halo 3 and, dare I say, Call of Duty 4.

Battlestations: Midway - Action/strategy games don't get any better than this. Period. The tactical side is easy to master, with the controls leaving you able to effortlessly coordinate your whole fleet, and the ability to switch instantly between ships, aircraft and submarines to launch attacks on, above and below the surface of the water is a unique and incredible feature.

Sid Meier's Civilisation Revolution - Sid's outdone himself yet again. CivRev is a new, IMO far more user-friendly take on the truly epic Civ games, with an almost cartoony graphic charm that doesn't detract from the unparalleled sophistication that made the Civ titles such a success. The learning curve isn't too steep, the technology tree is massive, and the tutorial almost gives a pick-up-and-play feel to the game.
