Is there any reliable proof that he actually DOES? If you've actually played the game, you would've noticed that Nero's powers come from the fact that Sparda's blood runs through his veins

I don't think Vergil made any choice. Nero's arm just absorbed his soul from Yamato.

I'm reallly starting to wonder if there is a connection between Nero and Vergil. It wouldn't surprise me if there was, but it would be a little awkward at the same time.

Is everyone sure that Vergil came from Yamato? I think Vergil is the reason Nero has the arm in the first place. I think the DT came from Yamato itself. It actually makes some sense if you consider the fact that Vergil gained his DT before Dante in the first place. Probably because of Yamato. The sword awoke his full potential.

We don't even know why Nero's Arm is like that. We basically have no background history Nero. Except that he has Sparda's blood. So it might be Sparda who possessed him, we don't know for sure. But I think he's related to Vergil. Maybe his son/ So I don't think Vergil made a choice.
