Irvine watched as the dark birds
closed in on himself and his golem. What the hell was he doing down here? He
should have known victor, supposedly the person orcistraiting all this, would
have called all the false contestants
to his aid. “now is not the place, or the time…”
The omnimancer would be lucky to
get out of this alive, he quickly sprinted over to his enormous friend and
crawled up his back. the fire died out
wherever he was, to prevent himself from burning up. It was too bad Calvin’s
new found form wasn’t serving well in this battle. he didn’t get the opportunity
to have bodies quite this big and strong. On the up side, it would get Irvine
out of this mess alive. The omnimancer stood on top of the golem’s head and
yanked the dagger from it’s neck. he then quickly stood up straight with his
arms at his sides as Calvin started to shake.
*BOOM *
The golem’s burning bones
splintered and acted like shrapnel as it soared threw the air. The entire
armada of black birds where ripped apart by the magnificent force of Calvin’s
detonation. They dropped to the floor as they slowly deteriorated. Meanwhile,
above the fray, Irvine was soaring into the heavens, standing on his companions
scull. “maybe this wasn’t such a good idea…” the scull was starting to loose altitude,
and that meant it was time to hop off. Typically, Irvine would be skeptical
about jumping three stories off the ground, but there was a fruit stand, and
several girls around it, so there was something there to break his fall ;) After
mumbling something to the effect of “geronimo”, he descended into the fruit
stand. The tent like stand slowed his fall, as did the large pile of mangoes,
and the two girls trying to decide which mango was the heaviest. “sorry people,
enjoy the show!”
The omnimancer climbed to the top of the arena and
looked back at Victor, who just looked like a small black dot in the middle of
the massive arena. Holstering his dagger, the mage smiled. “next time, I’ll be
more prepared… now where is my seat?” Irvine immediately looked around for the
two ladies he had originally been seated next to.
