Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"Remember? Remember what?" Victor made use of his natural agility and augmented strength to avoid Storm Crow, leaping straight over the demon as he charged. He'd have to use his speed and size to his advantage; there was no way he was gonna best Storm Crow in a straight-up brawl. What was Storm Crow prattling on about? Victor hadn't even met the demon until today. All he knew of his opponent was what he'd picked up around the Guild.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"I guess it's best that you don't remember any of you're previous incarnations..." The demonic overlord propped his wings up, providing a wall for Victor to crash into when he dove over him. he also cast two of his hooks behind himself to do battle with Gail.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"Ha ha... Is it mere coincidence you both share the same name?"
"Victor, he's just trying to mess with you're head, it's his specialty!" The hooks continued to fight Gail on there own while Storm crow chuckled and held out his hands. "A long time ago, someone who looked very much like you opposed my clan. he had help, but he eventually slew all of the lesser clan members. Afterwards, he challenged My lord. Even with there combined powers, my lord was too strong for them all. ...But...he was kind... He gave you an opportunity to fight by his side, and you took it. I on the other hand wanted you slain. so I was abolished from my clan, stripped of my title, little more remained of Divagrus, the lord of Conquer. So just like a bird born out of a lightning storm, Divagrus returns as the revered, but more often feared Strom crow!" The demon hurled his scarf into the wind. the red linnin danced in the wind as it was carried higher into the sky. "It's been a few years and your face still sickens me. The coward who begged for his life to be spared and used as a tool by the very one he sought to destroy. Know this Victor, I have been waiting for this, waiting a long time! I've even saved up some power, two-thousand years I've held onto it, just for you..." "JUST
FOR YOU VICTOR!" The demon spout forth a network of electricity which arched off his body. the sand itself was jumping around due to the strong static in the vicinity. the arcing got stronger as it started to create a larger, mirror-image around Storm crow. "About time to finnish this..." The demon broke into insane laughter as he lunged for his prey. his enormous wings acting like talons, ready to rip Victor apart.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"Guess things are heating up back there..." Kiyo whispered as he gazed back at the distant lightning storm behind him. <Stay focused Kiyo, we're getting close> "Right. Here we go." Closing his eyes, Kiyo slowly eased up his magic until the flames around his feet sputtered and died out. Soon after, his immense, fiery wings shrunk to half their size, just enough to help him glide through the air. A sudden flash drew his attention to the center of the city. As the airborne Suzaku drew closer, more and more flashes shined out at him. After squinting and focusing his eyes, Kiyo finally recognized the flashes as hundreds upon hundreds of shiny, metallic..... "maid bots?" The sight of an army of androids dressed as maids momentarily puzzled Kiyo. "This David must have a killer fetish for maids." Kiyo muttered as he began to skirt above the edges of the city's various skyscrapers, weaving in and out with the graceful precision of a phoenix. With each passing moment, Kiyo continued his gliding descent until he located a massive square clearing near the center of the city, where a row of helicopter pads laid behind hundreds more of the maid-bots. Every single one of the pads were vacant, except for one at the far right. "Is this it?" <It's our best clue for now.> "Alright. But it'll be a long while before I can fly again. This technique is so damned tiring and tedious to control." With his sights set firmly on an empty heli-pad, Kiyo readjusted his wings and coasted along to his destination, letting gravity and air do all the work. Just before he reached the ground, Kiyo quickly released a spurt of mana to his wings, causing them to flap with great force in order to reduce his falling speed. Right when his feet lightly touched the floor, Kiyo instantly relaxed his magic, allowing his wings to slowly fade before disappearing with the wind. The brawny Silvermyth took a moment to shake off all the sand from his clothes before turning to face the monstrous automated crowd. "Could one of you tell me where David is?"

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
If there was any blood in the dhampir's body, it would have completely drained from his face as he looked in horror at the charging Storm Crow. His words struck a subconscious chord; sonewhere, deep in the recesses of Victor's mind, a long-lost memory awoke from its slumber. The tournament... The tower... The betrayal... The look of shock left the assassin, replaced by a grim determination as he gripped his daggers. "I remember, Storm Crow! I remember everything, and it changes nothing! They can run, they can hide, but they will never escape the creatures of the night!" Once again, Vic's body burst into countless blood droplets and Storm Crow ran right through where the dhampir had been just a second ago. The droplets reformed some distance away, taking on for a second time the assassin's true form. Unfurling his wings, his bloodlust now apparent, Victor narrowed his eyes. "Let's dance, my old friend."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
“Ahh,
so you’ve discovered your power word… Guess you’re not going down right away.”
Storm
Crow spread his arms as he entered his fighting stance. his weapons quickly
retracted to his hands as Gail fell to one knee, exhausted from defending
himself from the demons arsenal. “Victor…” He spoke, in a tone too low for his ally
to hear. “Don’t kill yourself, help is on the way…”
The
storm demon spread his wings and started to turn, creating a windy, static
vortex. It slowly pulled at the sand, and soon the Silvermyths as well. The
vortex was starting to take on the shape of a sand storm.
The
brawny Silvermyth took a moment to shake off all the sand from his clothes
before turning to face the monstrous automated crowd. "Could one of you
tell me where David is?"
One
of the robots tuned to Kiyo. “OH_! HE’S_ RIGHT_ OVER_…” “HEY_! WE_ AREN’T_
SUPPOSE_ TO_ TELL_ STRANGERS_ THAT! IS_ YOUR_ SOFTWARE_ OUT_ OF_ DATE_?” After
the second maid plugged a chip into her sister, the both looked at Kiyo with
glowing amber eyes. “ASSASIN_!” They raised there guns, but didn’t fire.
“Wow,
you two are a handful, both of your programming is out dated! You’re suppose to
notify me before jumping to conclusions.” David spoke to the androids as if
they where humans. “OOPS_!” the first one slammed her palm against her head.
“My oh my, you’re in rough shape lad, and you don’t look like you’re from
around here, care to explain how you got here?” The president rested his palm
on the hilt of his sword.
Kiyo
was getting a bad vibe from this, and he didn’t even need his ring to tell him
he was in trouble right now. Why was he here anyway? Gail knew Epsilon had the
gift of the silver tongue. So why not him?
“hmm,
I sense a soul that likes to be alone…”
Marry approached Kiyo with her hand extended. “… This may be hard to
believe, but you actually have the potential of befriending someone who is
loved by all, but loves no one else in return. This one too likes to be alone.”
“Speak up, I’d like this intervention
to be as short as possible.” David’s hand slid over the blades hilt as Killrock
trotted over to his side.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"Thanks, Captain Obvious," came Victor's retort to the demon's observation. As Storm Crow kicked the sand up into the little storm he was creating, the dhampir kept his wings open and allowed the wind to carry him into the air. He extended his right hand, pointing at his adversary with Rapture, which grew in size until it had become a sword almost as long as he was tall. Sheathing the extra dagger, he floated on the currents of air, waiting for Storm Crow to attack. Now, both fighters would see what Vic's power word was all about.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Akasuki continued to follow the prints in the
sand with Afonos close behind her. "Looks like wolf took off in this
direction." she pointed towards the city.
Suddenly,
the young Silvermyth was brought down to his knees by a crowing cough. Looking
down at the hand he'd used to cover his mouth, he stared at the color of
crimson.
-"Augh"-
The Alchemist looked over her
shoulder. "Yea, that's normal for the Vega virus." She pulled a rag
from her sash and handed it to him. "It'll only get worse..."
-"All the more reason for us to
hurry."- he remarked at the time he wiped the rim of his lips with the
piece of cloth.
The duo continued to follow the
clawed footprints of there friend. The air, however, was getting colder. it
felt like it was all being pulled directly into the city. "Do you feel
that? I think they ran into some
problems..."
-"They'll be fine as long as
Gail is with them."- he reassured her as his eyes shifted to the distant
conglomeration of brown mist that the sand had become.
"well, looks like the steps go
directly into the city, but I can't tell because of the wind picking up. we
should side step this storm and go over the wall. we won't be detected that
way..."
"well, looks like the steps go
directly into the city, but I can't tell because of the wind picking up. we
should side step this storm and go over the wall. we won't be detected that
way..."
Afonos nodded.
-"By the way Miss Akasuki you
think there's a possibility that Wolf was the one who bombed the sub?"-
" I suppose it's possible, he
was in the vicinity of it after all, but he could have been the one that was
attacked."
-"Maybe the president's
men?"-
"Men? they where all maids, and
they used grenades, not spider bombs, like Midori described."
-"Hmm, who'd take this much
trouble to get to a harmless merchant then?"-
Akasuki stopped and looked at Afonos. "you know , I think you talk
too much…"
Ahh good old Victor, riding on the tranquil
winds of Storm crows self propelled wind storm. The demon chuckled to himself
as he watched him glide with ease in a perfect circle around his head, staying
aloft.
*BOOM*
The storm immediately
kicked up, becoming a mini twister. Victor was hurled higher into the sky and
lost control as the violent winds picked up and the sand batted him. To add to
the chaos, Storm crow arced lightning at
the sand, creating a deadly slurry of glass crystals to be carried up to Victor’s
position.
“Crap, I
knew this was going to happen…”
Gail’s
grip on the dessert wasn’t going to prevent him from being pulled into the sand
storm. He quickly drove his scythe into the ground to stop himself. “Damn it
Kiyo, hurry up!” The half demon faced his palm towards Storm crow as he charged
some sort of spell in his arm.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Glass? Was that all Storm Crow had? Victor gave a chilling laugh and waited until the glass crystals were close - then, with a single mighty beat of his wings, launched himself out of their path and out of the miniature twister. Peering at Storm Crow through the wall of sand, Victor hovered in place and extended his free hand, releasing a blast of energy that shot forth with blinding speed towards the demon, kicking up waves of sand in its wake. Even Victor didn't have a clue exactly what he was capable of in this form. No better way to find out than a field test.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Storm crow
Grinned at the oncoming projectile as it fought the winds propelling it up.
“Guess I’d better unveil my greatest creation!” A black portal slowly opened
underneath him and pulled the demon threw. It then quickly shut before Victor’s
attack could make contact.
“And,
FIRE!”
Gail
launched a fireball the size of a small house into the sandy maelstrom. The
fireball was carried up and away from the ground, the heat turning the sandy
vortex into a cylinder prism. He could see the demon wasn’t there, but at least
the storm had stopped. It was a half mile high structure now.
“where did
he go?”
Meanwhile,
Storm crow was in a black world . “Ahh, worm holes, something Ray never quite finished
researching.” Ray’s wife died for 2 things: a piece of the black calamity, and
plans for a worm hole creating device. With the aid of this, The demon could
pass threw the quantum wall without the hassle of boiling down into quantum
foam. He could only seem to create a wormhole to this empty dimension and a
place near where he first entered. Oh well, running away wasn’t an option. Then
again, with revenge so close, why would he?
“Miss me?”
Without
warning, Storm crow spilled out of the wormhole and bear hugged Victor from
behind. From the height they where at, a drop into the sand could be fatal.
“CRAP!”
Gail looked
on at the two winged warriors combat each other this was exactly what he didn’t
want to happen. A one on one battle with Storm crow was taking place right before
him. It didn’t look like either combatant was taking the fight too seriously,
which was a gift to the Silvermyths. because if things did get serious…
“DAMN
IT KIYO! HURRY UP!”

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
In the midst of the bristling industrial heat, Kiyo felt a disturbingly cold chill run through his spine. He looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary, save for the maid-bots holding him at gunpoint. The runes on his arm scrolls subtly lit up to a weak dim as he tensed up what remained of his mana, suspecting the worst. In all this tension, Kiyo couldn't stop thinking about Mary's words; words that initially fell upon uncaring ears, yet now rang with spontaneous obsession. "...I sense a soul that likes to be alone… This may be hard to
believe, but you actually have the potential of befriending someone who is
loved by all, but loves no one else in return. This one too likes to be alone." The Suzaku shook his head in annoyance and drowned out the prophetic words with his personal creed. "I see myself alone, surrounded in a sea of enemies." <Relax Kiyoshi. These are supposed to be our allies.> "Alright, Sensei. But stay alert. Something's not right here." Kiyo paused to catch his breath before turning to face David. Despite his fatigued state, the muscular Silvermyth maintained his cautious, yet neutral facade, betraying no signs of weakness. "Pardon the fiery entrance. I am Kiyo from the Silvermyth Guild. My commanding officer Gail requests assistance from your air force."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Four-armed bear hugs. Not Victor's strong point. He looked to the ground to see himself and Storm Crow hurtling towards the sand. Hitting it from this height would surely be fatal... He started racking his brains for a way out of this. There was no way he could break free of the demon's vice-like grip as it was. He'd need to weaken the guy before he could get loose. But how...? The proverbial light bulb switched on above his head as he looked down at himself and realised that he didn't need to break free. He just needed to get Storm Crow to release him. To that end, he focused upon his body, willing it to show off some ability he'd not discovered yet, hoping against hope that he still had some tricks up his sleeve. Suddenly, dozens of spikes erupted out of his body, impaling the demon that held him prisoner. Storm Crow gave a roar of pain as the countless spikes pierced his flesh. With this as a distraction, Victor made use of his greatly amplified strength and forced Storm Crow's arms open while he was otherwise occupied. The spikes retracted and Victor gripped the demon by one of his wrists, demonstrating further his immense strength by spinning in the air, taking Storm Crow with him. When he'd built up some speed, he released his grip and hurled the demon to the ground. Immediately spreading his wings to halt his descent, he clenched his free hand and unleashed another blast of energy upon Storm Crow as he hurtled to the ground at speed.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Storm crow was not the most
aerodynamic demon. Comparing him to Victor was like comparing a B-17 to a
Mustang. More firepower, but less maneuverability.
*BOOM*
Vic’s projectile exploded, kicking
up dust and sand as it’s explosion expired. There was no trace of Storm crow
now…
“Did he actually kill him?” Gail
wondered. Unable to believe that he would be vanquished so easily.
The demon plummeted threw the dark
world. Storm crow could hear the explosion even in this other dimension. he
wasn’t a big fan of using his worm hole ability too often because it got
predictable, but the opportunity presented itself. He turned his body so that
his belly was facing the ground as he prepared to snag Victor again.
“Round 2…”
This time, the connection was more
brief. Rather than totally enveloping Victor with a bear hug, he used his momentum
to quickly snag him by the wings and hurl him into the tall glass structure. And
just for good measure, he launched a
lightning bolt from the palm of his upper right hand into Vic’s back.
Gail just made punching motions at the air angraly, it
was all he could do for Victor.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
The bolt of lightning hit its mark and Victor released a roar of pain as he was sent careening into the pillar of glass and it shattered as he ploughed into it, raining glass shards on him as he thudded to the ground with a sickening crunch. He struggled to his feet to find a particularly large spear of glass jammed into his gut. He looked up at Storm Crow, a look of pure hatred on his face. Gripping the glass skewer, he tore it out of his abdomen with a grunt of pain and crushed it in his hand. Time to get serious. He began by throwing himself into the air and darting back into the fray with a punishing volley of energy blasts, covering his advance until he got close and lunged forward with Rapture to impale the demon.
