FUNimation will bring the popular anime series ‘Devil May Cry: The Complete Series’ based on the video game to Blu-ray on August 25.

Specs haven’t been announced yet, but the supplements will include Special Interview: Toshiyuki Morikawa, Devil May Cry: The Game, Clean Opening Animation, and Clean Closing Animation.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray set is $59.98.

The extremely popular game series offers players the opportunity to battle demons using a variety of different weapons, including this massive two-handed sword equipped with a super-charged throttle which activates a fuel-injected system that covers the blade in fuel, allowing it to ignite for a brief period of time. The sword was created by Fortuna’s Order of the Sword as part of a plan to battle and defeat more powerful demons. The sword was given by the Order to Nero in reward for his overwhelming skills in battle.

Capcom’s untitled project has been officially confirmed to be an action game sequel to an already established Capcom franchise which is developed by Capcom Japan and not Devil May Cry 5 nor a remake. Capcom has also dropped a further hint “This franchise has never appeared on this hardware.” which means that it was a previous generation franchise and it might also mean that it is an exclusive as the word ‘this’ was used which signifies a single console.

While this is definitely bad news for us Devil May Cry fans, could this hint that we are indeed going to see a jump ship to the Wii for the Devil May Cry series? Slated that it definitely isn’t a remake or Devil May Cry 5, doesn’t mean they wouldn’t do another story. Is it all bad news?

We all knew that with Details & Trailers of already announced titles such as Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles etc, Capcom was also going to reveal 2 brand new titles at E3 2009 one of them was recently revealed Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

According to our source the second title will be non other then the sequel to the popular gaming franchise Devil May Cry (Devil May Cry 5). and it will not only be appearing on PC, Playstation 3 & Xbox 360, it will also make it’s way onto Nintendo Wii.

Our source confirms us that unfortunately Capcom will only release a 1:32 min long teaser trailer, but on the positive side the teaser will confirm us the release date of the title.
